Dear all,
As the judging meeting for the 2008 Sir Arthur Clarke
Awards may not be until February, that allows a little
more time for additional submissions. As a group well
connected in the UK space community, I would be very
pleased if you would make a special effort to submit
some more entries for those whom you feel are worthy
of some recognition.
The easiest way is to go to the Nominations page on
the awards website at
www.clarkeawards.org and fill in
the online form. All you have to do is to select a
category from the drop-down menu and then enter the
following:
- Your name
- You e-mail address
- Who you are nominating
- Why
And please remember that you can submit as many
nominations as you like in multiple categories.
If you prefer, you can simply send me an e-mail with
your nominations, in which case I simply need the
following details for each submission:
- The category
- Who you are nominating
- Why
The categories are:
Best Corporate/Team Achievement
Best Individual Achievement
Best Student Achievement
Best Space Reporting
Achievement in Education
Best TV / Radio Presentation
Best Film Presentation
Best Written Presentation
Space Entrepreneur
Outreach Award for the Public Promotion of Space
Inspiration Award
Lifetime Achievement
All of the submissions will be passed on to the
judges, though as they may not all be familiar with
your choices, it is important that you explain why you
are putting them forward. Your own details are not
passed on to the judging panel – they only see the
names and the reasons.
Do feel free to pass this on to anyone you feel
appropriate, but remember that we need the submissions
quickly.
If you have any questions about this, then please let
me know.
Thanks in advance,
Jerry
